Day/time of presentation is available on the Conference Program.
Please prepare, print and bring a poster which dimensions should not exceed ISO A0 *PORTRAIT* size: i.e., maximum height = 1189mm (46.81 inches) and maximum width = 841mm (33.11 inches).
Each day, a different selection of posters will be hung in specific spaces at the venue for *the whole day*. Your particular space will be communicated to you in due time. On the specific day of display of your poster, you are expected to be near your poster at least during two time slots, when coffee is served: between 11:00AM-12:40AM, and between 3:00PM-4:20PM. You are also very welcome to interact with other participants around your poster during any time of that day.
For playing sound examples, poster presenters should bring their own headphones (no loudspeakers will be allowed).
For any particular technical requirement/question, please let us know by email before Friday October 25th.
During the conference, “poster-craze” sessions will be organized during regular plenary sessions, between 10:20AM-11:00AM: On the specific day of your poster presentation, you will have exactly 1 minute and 1 single slide (time will be controlled by the session chair) to introduce your poster and “tease” the audience, inviting them to a more personal scientific discussion later around your poster.
You will NOT have the possibility to use your own device for showing your slide. You must send your slide (in PDF format) to the conference organizers who will transfer it on the conference computer.
If you are presenting a poster at ISMIR2013, please send your 1 slide in PDF to ismir2013papers@ismir.net before Friday October 25th.
Here is some last-minute information about local poster printing.
For those wishing to print their posters in Curitiba, we suggest Copiadora Gabardo which is located just three blocks far from the Bourbon Hotel.
They can print A0 posters in regular paper (BRL 36) for the same day or in glossy paper (BRL 60) for the next day.
Please prepare a slideshow presentation. Please make sure to include sound examples when possible and to prepare a lively presentation.
We encourage presenters to use their personal computers for making their presentations. However, in case you do require a computer, or for any particular technical requirement/question, please let us know by email before Friday October 25th.
You will have 20 minutes for presentation + Q&A with the audience. We encourage you to prepare your slides so that your presentation fits in 15 minutes, and to leave 5 minutes for questions from the audience. A chair-person will conduct the session and NO time extension will be granted beyond your 20 minutes. Please, be present in the room and introduce yourself to your session chair at least 15 minutes before the start of your session.
